It’s Monday morning and I am awoken by the sound of thunder echoing across the landscape. Our summer season has had only intermittent warmth, with many more days just like this one: overcast and rainy. I ponder my topic for a post this week and I am inspired to pull out one of the bottles that has been in the queue of beers in my fridge, the Redhook Dunkel Weizen. This dark beer feels perfect for a rainy day of staying indoors. It’s in Redhook’s “Blueline” series of beers that are special limited release beers for the northwest market. The “Blueline” name refers to the old trolley line whose trolley house was the original tenant of the old Redhook brewery location in Fremont (which currently houses Theo chocolate).

Kegger on the Monorail!
Engineers will be filling the easily-laughed-at but fiercely-protected monorail with kegs. A keg party on the monorail--sounds promising or at the very least, nauseating. Getting drunk on a monorail that goes nowhere--it could be the hippest new theme bar or some tragic Seattle metaphor. Sadly, it is neither.
