Various Playing Tomorrow @ Chop Suey
We mentioned Various in this week's Aural Pleasures, noting that it was a bit of a big deal, being their first (and only) stop in the US. Pitchfork notes the importance of the show as well, including the video for the group's single "Hater." Here's how they describe the live setup for the mysterious group:

SPELLING: Rarely does an adult get to display a skill so mundane as spelling, and rarer still does an adult have an opportunity to engage in feats of spelling in front of an audience and within the context of a competition, but tonight at the Re-bar is just such an opportunity. We're still in negotiations withe the Re-bar rules committee to see if Seattlest's spelling stand-in FireFox 2.0 is eligible to compete.

As it should be, it's quiet this week in Seattle, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do -- especially the closer we get to New Year's Eve. So without further ado, Seattlest's belated gift to you -- some shows:
