Last night, Bumbershoot announced the first set of acts slated for this year's festival. So far, there's a name or two that could draw us to Seattle Center this Labor Day weekend. Beck? Hell yes! A reunited Stone Temple Pilots? Not so much.
Adrian Tomine started making comics in his teens when he created Optic Nerve. In it, he tells stories about people who tend to be searching for answers to questions they seem to think everyone else already knows. After a few years putting out Optic Nerve on his own, it was picked up by publisher Drawn and Quarterly.
A certain megalomaniac who will remain nameless lest we feed her already bloated ego recently sent out an email to god knows who, hyping the national tour (including a stop in Seattle tonight) supporting a book she edited. Note the humility evident in the priority of the first sentence:
