Last night Gonzaga lost a game they had won. They were up by 17 in the second half and UCLA was playing dreadfully. But the oft-fickle tournament winds shifted. Gonzaga scored only nine field goals in the second half and UCLA scored the last 11 points of the game. The Zags ended up on a plane back to Spokane and the Bruins moved on to the Elite Eight.
Huskies forward Brandon Roy became only the second Husky (and more importantly, the first Garfield Bulldog) to win Pac-10 Player of the Year honors, beating out Cal-Berkeley forward Leon Powe.

The Huskies beat #6 Gonzaga last night, ending a seven-game losing streak to the Zags and proving that, despite losing three top scorers from last year, this year's Husky team is worthy of national attention.
