Countdown in Photos #18: Hot Bodies in Motion

Over the month of December I am planning to delight you with tales of my adventures as a concert photographer in 2011. They may be the best shots I took, or the best moments I experienced. Either way, it would be a shame for those to fall by the wayside and be left sitting dormant in my feeble mind. Keep coming back, there'll be a new one each day.

Check out yesterday's post with Kris Orlowski.

Hot Bodies in Motion has been mentioned a few times on Seattlest. Unfortunately, if you look around for much more hype than that, you won't find it. Very few local blogs or news outlets of any kind have even mentioned their names outside of show listings much less discussed how incredible their live shows are.

True, I've gotten to know these guys over the past year, but when you're entrenched in music every day its hard not to get to know the people you're photographing and talking about. You find that you are drawn to those not only with talent but a lot of heart. HBIM has that in spades and I couldn't be more excited for their successes like music in a major motion picture and hitting up several of the city's best of lists.

The most recent Hot Bodies in Motion show I was able to catch took place in Bellingham with Allen Stone at Wild Buffalo which is where today's shot was captured. You honestly couldn't ask for a better combo than these two. I had to go sit down or else I would have fractured my shooting finger, there was just too much good stuff going on.
