Lowell Elementary was placed in lockdown earlier this afternoon as police searched for a man wanted for violating his parole at the end of November. The suspect is a parent of one of the children at the school. [KOMO]

A Kent area high school teacher has been fired from his position after he sent a student pictures of, you guessed it, his penis. Further, he then propositioned her for $50. According to the charging documents, the teacher claims that the whole pay-for-sex thing was the student's idea. We're not sure how that's supposed to make things better. [Seattle Weekly]
