The UW World Series is one of Seattle's most renown arts organizations, dedicated to bringing to our city the world's leading artists in dance, music and theater. In doing so, UWWS not only keeps our region connected to the world of international performing arts, it also keeps Seattle on artistic maps throughout the planet. One can't overstate the cultural importance of their program; through it, we as an audience are exposed to other forms of expression, to the different manners and mores of people from places different than our own.

The Youth Ticket Program ensures that people are introduced to the benefits of this program at an early age; for every regular ticket that is bought, an additional two are given to children between 5 and 17 to attend the show for free.

The initial trial period for this program ended in November, but it proved so successful, the offer has been extended through to the end of the current season (which ends in May 2012). The coming schedule is typically strong, featuring luminaries from the world of Classical and Chamber Music, International Dance and Theater (there's even a Ladysmith Black Mambaso performance in the works).

For example, three tickets to go see the Shen Wei Dance Arts program in March would cost only $42; you get to see the show and introduce your kids, or that artistically inclined niece, nephew or cousin at the same time for a staggeringly low price. Everyone wins.
