Gallery: Rainn Wilson and Friends Know How To Throw a Party
Last year's event was an incredible journey into the unknown for us at Seattlest. Considering all the guests set to appear on stage, we knew it would be unique. Luckily it far surpassed anything we had imagined with performances from John Roderick and Sean Nelson as well as an appearance by Craig Robinson.
Considering the experience we had last year, we were sure it would be just as fabulous an event this year. While it was full of stars and music, it sort of fell short of last year's craziness. That could be from the organized feel of this year's show, but it could also be due to the increased celebs on stage and fewer musicians.
That's not to say the evening was a bust by any means, it was really fun and the actors that graced us with their presence were really into it. There were a couple of jokes that fell short of the mark but it was still a night of quality entertainment.
The highlights of the evening were Rainn dressing as Phoenix Jones, Mindy Kaling coming on stage dressed like a "Seattlite" (complete with flannel, puffy vest and Pabst puffball hat) then giving away her ensemble to a raffle winner and Chris Pratt and Anna Faris acting out a spoof play called "I Love Him, I Love Him Nazi" (the protagonist hits his head and wakes up believing he's a Nazi).
Obviously the real winner of the night was the MONA foundation and by the looks of Paramount's filled seats they raised quite a bit of money.
