Rainn Wilson Shows Off His Friends Tomorrow (and Maybe Today?) at Paramount

Rainn WIlson, a Seattle native, is back in his hometown again to raise money for the Mona Foundation, an organization he says he hand-selected for the awesome work they do. And he'll be doing it with Mindy Kaling and Rachel Flotard--just to name a few.

Sure, it's technically a fundraiser, but we attended last year, and it was a truly unique experience, it was definitely no raise-the-paddle snorefest.

This year, he's got a whole new batch of friends to introduce. These aren't just his buddies from Shorecrest High School in Shoreline--we're talking celebs he's brought with him from the shiny city to the south.

Other guests include Colin Meloy from the Decemberists, Ana Ferris and husband Chris Pratt (who plays Andy on Parks and Recreation) Andy Grammar, and more. This ain't your mother's fundraiser...but you sure could bring her along.

But of course, the Mona Foundation is the real winner of the night. This excellent organization is basically on a seek-and-assist mission; they find an already-established local initiative or organization that promotes education for women and children, and offer any assistance that's necessary to achieve that organization's goals. It's pretty neat.

Tickets are a bit on the pricey side, but believe you me, it's worth it and then some. Not only are you funding an incredible organization but you're sure to have a once in a lifetime experience. So pull open those rusty pocketbooks and slap down some dough for a good cause.

As an extra bonus, we've been passed a note from an Office-specific site that mentions if you buy a ticket, you can come on down to the Paramount tonight from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m., and get a photo taken with Rainn. I bet he'll even part his hair down the middle if you ask him.

Saturday at Paramount Theatre // Doors at 7pm // tickets $31.25 - $51.25 (plus fees)
