Extra, Extra: In the Wake of Dorli-Gate
Very little news has happened today--probably because we're all still agog at that photo of the 84-year-old bottle of awesomsauce known as Dorli Rainey. But there's more to life than that, isn't there?
- Speaking of Occupy Seattle, the Mayor has cancelled a fundraising event...because of it!
- In other news, some scammers are going to try to trim your trees. Don't let them.
- Sure, we're in a budget crisis--but that's not going to stop Governor Gregoire from pulling a Costco and sinking big bucks into a project that may or may not pay off. Namely, she'd like to pitch almost $10 million into trying to get the new Boeing line. I'm sure the schools and rape victims and everyone else who's suffering from budget cuts will understand the need to maybe create jobs.
- While we're on the subject of jobs--most people think they'll be at them forever. Apparently, a lot of people expect to work until they're Dorli Rainey's age.
- And finally...tree crimes!
