We've reached the middle of the week (and the end of election season), which means there are probably a few folks out there looking to do something other than work feverishly all day, eyes on computer screens, only to go home and eat a dull meal. So we thought we'd furnish you with a little bit of food fodder to fill your social calendars.

Tonight 6:00 p.m.-8:00 pm. ART Restaurant joins other Four Seasons hotels around the world in toasting #WineWednesday by hosting their second annual #FSWine tweetup, featuring a tasting of festive sparkling wines. They'll be an hour of tasting and tweeting with sommelier Matt Bocinsky as he talks you through the featured wines: Lunetta Prosecco, Louis Roederer Brut and Domaine Chandon Brut Classic. You'll get tips on how to pair sparkling wines with every course including appetizers at your upcoming holiday parties.

The flight of wine will set you back $18.00 and Chef Kerry Sear will offer up an la carte menu at $9.00 a pop including Juan Du Fuca oysters, Dungeness crab cannelloni, Salmon caviar blinis and braised Painted Hills beef shortrib with truffle mash potatoes. If you can't attend in person you can follow along with the educational conversations at #FSWine, @ARTRestaurant or @FSSeattle on Twitter.

Tomorow long time local favorite Duke’s is celebrating Chowder Day (declared by Mayor Nickels in '05) by dishin' up free bowls of their beloved belly warming treat all day and night--or until the last drop is distributed. Stop by any of the six local Duke's locations to partake in some of what their claims say is the only 100% “all natural” clam chowder in the world.

After much anticipation A la Mode Pies quietly invited friends, family and media types into their new store this week and starting tomorrrow pie lovers from across the city will no doubt be flooding into their lovely new store on Phinney Ridge. A la Mode started out as an online pie delivery service but now you can get their tart key lime, coconut kissed blueberry and mexican chocolate wrapped in perfectly done golden brown buttery crust by the slice or whole pie seven days a week. The plan is to have 9-10 pies on the board with two or three lollypie choices and plently of steaming hot espresso or coffee to wash it down. Check 'em out at www.alamodeseattle.com

Seattle Public Library is getting in on the culinary chat tomorrow night 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. as they host Seattle food luminaries Greg Atkinson, Kathy Casey, Nancy Leson, and Mathew Amster-Burton in conversation with Karen Gaudette, editor at PCC Natural Markets. They'll also be a food photography and Seattle restaurant menu exhibition and you'll be able to enter to win a free keepsake Seattle Times photography print.

Find yourself on the eastside Friday? Head to BellSquare at 1:00 p.m. to meet, greet and get your books signed by reality tv and farm darlings The Beekman Boys at Williams Sonoma. You are sure to leave charmed!
