Can't Miss It: Wednesday

GOTHS AND DOLLS: Amanda Palmer, the Occupy-supporting Dresden Doll and close personal friend of gypsy-rock idol Jason Webley, will be gracing the stage alongside husband (and hugely influential author and all-around awesome guy) Neil Gaiman tonight for an eclectic mix of music, stories, discussion, and possibly some spoken word. You really don't want to miss this.

7:30 p.m. // The Moore // $22

"They Might Be Giants", the album.
GIANT TIME: Meanwhile, down in SoDo, one America's great treasures will be proving why, after 20 years, They Might Be Giants is still definitely great. The band that gave us lines like 'you're older than you've ever been, and now you're even older' and 'nobody's business but the Turks'', TMBG comes through town pretty frequently--and it's always worth checking out.

8:00 p.m. // Showbox SoDo // $26+

RACE RELATIONS: You know how everyone's really into Das Racist these days? It's probably because the twosome from Brooklyn IS AMAZING. Bringing quick, witty lyrics that are loaded with social commentary, piled on top of amazing beats that'll make you sweat, Das Racist is exactly worth the hype.

8:00 p.m. // Neumos // $15
