Reminder: Tomorrow is Election Night

If you see Jean Godden or Bruce Harrell around downtown today, and you're wondering why they look so sleepless and nervous, you have clearly not been paying attention.

No, it's not the Governor's budget cuts that've got them down (although those do suck): it's election night, which is tomorrow.

Which means that as of tomorrow, if you haven't yet cast your ballot (or worse, called the Secretary of State's office to track your ballot down), you've officially procrastinated too long and missed your chance. The time to vote is now.

To be honest, we don't care who or what you vote for (but careful consideration of initiatives 1183 and 1125 would be a really, really, really, really good idea), as long as you mail in that ballot. Because while it would be pretty upsetting to let Kemper Freeman's money make decisions for the rest of us poor schleps (the 1% everyone's so mad about? It's him), it would be worse if the rest of the population didn't exercise their right to make a decision and have it be counted.

Your ballot is due tomorrow. Which also means that tomorrow, there will be lots of fun election parties, which Seattlest staffers will be attending and Tweeting about and generally getting down with.

You can take your ballot to a drop-box by 8 p.m. tomorrow, or mail it in by tomorrow with a 44-cent stamp affixed to it.

Go vote!
