Can't Miss It: Monday

John Hodgman will be promoting his new book, That Is All, tonight at Town Hall.
More Information Than You Require: Fans of exceedingly droll misinformation are in for a treat tonight, because John Hodgman is coming to Town Hall. The erstwhile living embodiment of the PC, former Daily Show correspondent, McSweeney's contributor and general wit is promoting That Is All, the final book in his Complete World Knowledge trilogy. It's likely he will speak on some topic or another, and read portions of the book, but it doesn't matter. He could spend his time on stage on the phone with his agent, and it'd still be funny, smart and cutting.

Tonight at 7:30p.m. // Town Hall, 1119 Eighth Avenue // $25 for one ticket and a copy of the book, $30 for two tickets and a copy

Toons of History: Dennis Nyback is one of this country's prominently noted film historians with deep roots in Seattle. The Longview, WA native ran and operated the Pike Street Cinema during the early- to mid-90s, and his collection of rare animation through the ages has been something of a calling card for him. So much so that the Grand Illusion Cinema has given over this entire week to The Dennis Nyback History of Animation, and tonight features two programs of cartoons to please those who like the darker, more mature and ribald side of comedic cartoons: Bad Bugs Bunny and The Genius of Max Fleischer -- the latter will include some of Fleischer's work on Popeye, which contains some of the most surprisingly ribald ad libs to slip under the censorship radar. Sure, you could probably find these online, but how often do you get the chance to see them on the big screen?

Bad Bugs Bunny at 7:00p.m., Max Fleischer at 9:00p.m. // Grand Illusion Cinema, 1403 North 50th Street // $8

Mahna Mahna: Do doo dododo. Mahna mahna. Do dodo doo! Mahna mahna. Do doo dododo dododo dododo dodo do doo do doo do doo.

Tonight at 6:00p.m. // SIFF Cinema at the Uptown, 511 Queen Anne Avenue North // $5 - $10
