An Explanation as to Why Seattlest is Overrun With New York City News
Hello, Readers--
If in the last few days, you've noticed an uptick in content from places outside of Seattle, you're very astute. Or rather, you've been looking at our main page.
Gothamist, who owns this blog and also runs sites around the country, has made the decision to begin syndicating its content, which is to say, that they are publishing articles from other -Ist sites across the entire family. Essentially, we're no longer just publishing Seattle-area content.
So far, this change has come with mixed reviews, mostly because we've tried really hard to keep it local, and y'all seem to like that. And we still will be--Seattlest is still fully-stocked with writers ready to cover stuff going on around here--but it's now going to come with some extra content, too, and we wanted to let you know.
