Boo! Today's Your Last Day to Register to Vote

It may be an off-year (no Presidential races this fall), but there's still plenty to vote on--including and increase in car tabs, and more than a few initiatives that could make a big difference. But today's the last chance to get in on the action, if you're new to Washington state, or have simply never bothered to vote.
Unfortunately, the King County Elections Office is inconveniently located south of the County Seat, in Renton. The location, while less expensive for the county and more spacious, isn't exactly prime for workers stuck downtown and looking to get registered at the last minute.
King County's got your back, though--they've got a Voter Registration Annex for those of us in Seattle proper. It's located on 4th, between Jefferson and James, and is open until 4:30 today (with a lunch break between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m., during which time it will be closed).
But if you're serious about voting on big issues, like I-1183 or this year's City Council races, get to one of these two spots by 4:30 today to get yourself registered.
Now's also a good time for a reminder that if you haven't received your ballots yet, something's wrong. Call the elections office to get to the bottom of it, at (206) 296-VOTE (8683).
