Can't Miss It: Sunday
We know everyone is all booked up with Halloween Madness but if you've got some spare time as the weekend comes to a close -- don't know what to do with it -- don't miss all that Seattle has to offer on this blustery autumn day.
Spooky: Who doesn't love a haunted house, right? El Comité Pro-Reforma Migratoria y Justicia Social's Casa de Espantos is serving up a Latino-themed haunted house to benefit immigration reform. Get in on the action from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Central District; tickets are $7 at the door.
Food: Miss your chance to make a reservation for the SOLD OUT Off the Menu (OTM) dinner tonight at Ethan Stowell's Tavolata? You still have a chance to meet the book's author, Marissa Guggiana (who also wrote Primal Cuts and was a former editor at Meatpaper) at the Elliott Bay Book Company today at 2:00 p.m. as she talks about (OTM), which features the meals that fifty of America's top restaurants serve to their workers. The Northwest's own Pok Pok, Lark and TavolÄta each get a shout out.
Dramedy: Theatre more to your liking? Then don't miss the simulcast of the National Theater's remount of the The Kitchen today at 1:00 p.m. If you can't make it, it'll be re-shown this coming Tuesday when special guest Thierry Rautureau (aka The Chef in the Hat from Rover's, and Luc) will be on hand to host his popular weekly KUOW radio show "What's in Your Fridge?" before the screening.
Or if you're in the mood for something produced right in your backyard check out the freshly opened and darkly twisted The Mormon Bird Play at Washington Ensemble Theater tonight at 7:30 p.m. complete information and tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/producer/1741
Tunes: Vera Project always adds something interesting to the mix and tonight is no exception as they bring Harry and the Potters to town for the under 21 set tonight at 7:30p.m. For more information on the band check out their website and snag tickets here.
