Seattlest Suggests: Boozin' and Ballots with Ghostride the Vote at Moe Bar

Don't you want to come to this? Of course you do.
At Seattlest, we love two things: politics and drinking. And other things, too. But mostly politics and drinking. Tonight at Moe Bar, we're putting the two together with our good friends at the Washington Bus in a little shindig we're calling Ghostride the Vote.

Beginning right after work (because we've all got plenty to do tonight), we're going to be bringing out ballots out to the bar with us, to discuss the issues, knock a few back, and do our civic duty.

The event is vaguely Halloween-themed (in that yours truly may or may not be showing up in a banana costume), but it's mostly informative. Ballots went out so late this election cycle, it's being predicted that voter turnout may hit a record low since switching to mail-in ballots. So we're re-creating the polling booth...in a bar.

Additionally, because there will be wall-to-wall wonks (i.e., Seattlest staffers and Washington Bus smarties) it'll be a good opportunity to get some questions answered about the various positions and initiatives you'll be charged with voting on. We may even have stamps, so you can mail your ballot right then and there.

Come join us tonight at Moe Bar, to meet some friends and do some stuff. It's going to be fun. We promise.
