Can't Miss It: Wednesday

Admit it. You used to have a crush on Elijah Wood.
ONE RING: If you've spent your week waiting for the most precious event, you haven't been looking hard enough, because The Lord of the Rings in Concert: The Fellowship of the Ring at Key Arena tonight has been advertised everywhere. And for good reason--it's LOTR in concert. If you're at all a fan of this life-changing saga, you're surely familiar with the music that accompanied Frodo and the gang as they tirelessly trekked across the farthest reaches. This music won an Oscar, and tonight, it'll win your heart all over again.

LONDON CALLING: Oh, you're not a fan of the music of hobbits? Well, fair enough. But what about the music of exceptionally talented (and impeccably dressed) 24-year-olds with more swagger than you could hope to imagine? Hip-hop style-switcher Theophilus London is baby-faced, sweet-tongued--and truly gifted with the power of spit. His lyrics are catchy, his tunes are poppy, and her performance at the Neptune is sure to be a treat. Technically, Friendly Fires (who are also quite wonderful) are the headliners but..we're going for London. Check out the video from 2010 below to see what the hype is about.

THREE BUCK CHUCK: I'll be honest with you--I can't pick a movie for you to see tonight at the 16th Annual Lesbian & Gay Film Festival. There are just too many good ones. Jenise had a few recommendations, but to be honest, you're on your own with this tough choice. Best of luck--any one you pick will be the winner, I'm sure.
