Extra, Extra: No Tent For You, No Charges for Teen Who Killed a Cyclist

  • Protesters at Occupy Seattle received word today that their use of a propane tank in their tactical tent revoked a permit to have said tent at Westlake. Occupiers continue to press their luck, and this development was not particularly surprising.
  • However, they're not having as bad of a day as the family of a man who was killed by a teen driving while the man was on his bike. The teen received no charges and a fine of $42.
  • It also hasn't been a great day for women and their rights. It has, however, been an awesome day to be an unwanted/unplanned/product-of-rape fetus. For example, today the House sent a clear message as to what is more important, a woman or a zygote, by passing HR 358.
  • Additionally, Swedish no longer performing elective abortions, which is an important reminder that a lot of hospitals are still religious.
  • However, it's a great day to be anyone in Seattle other than that shitty repeat offender who killed the Tuba Man, because that one-person crime wave is finally going to prison.

  • Once again human life is cheap as long as you are a cyclist. Only if I could kill a few politicians at $42 a pop.
