It's Not Too Late To Occupy Seattle

Are you still sitting at home, slowly overcoming last night's hangover? Don't waste your day away--there's still Occupy Seattle stuff happened all day.

As you're reading this, protesters are downtown rallying in favor of the working class. Which, if you're reading this "publication" (read: collection of blog posts), you probably are among.

The rally will continue today until 5 p.m., at which point protesters will pick it up and start marching. It will inconvenience traffic. It will get media attention. It will probably be incorrectly reported on. It will be fun and angering and exciting and something you talk about.

If you have nothing else to do today because you can't afford to do anything other than ride a bus downtown, you're the 99%.

if you've been 1 out of 250 candidates for a job busing tables, if you've got a college degree and you still didn't get hired for that job, if you've worked more than 4 unpaid internships and have still been unable to find work, if you have a job and you're in a union, if you have a job and they won't let you unionize, if your house got foreclosed on, if your neighbor's house got foreclosed on and now you'll never be able to sell your house without taking a huge loss, if you've gotten charged an overdraft fee because your debit card provider held onto transactions for too long, specifically to get you to incur that fee, if your identity's ever gotten stolen and your bank didn't tell you, if your adult kids are living at home, you're the 99%. This rally is for you.

Get there.
