Seattle's Fanciest Tweaker Suspected in Shooting

The Seattle Police Department has released a report on a shooting that took place last Sunday night on Boylston and East Olive on Capitol Hill. The report calls the incident a mugging gone wrong- the gunman allegedly stopped a man and a woman walking home down Boylston, brandished his revolver, and demanded their wallet and purse. The man turned, possibly to flee, and the mugger shot him in the abdomen.

The suspect is described as a skinny white male of average height, between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, and what may have been a Seahawks jersey. His victim described him as a "tweaker." Here's where things get strange: the Police believe the suspect was picked up by a car which took him away from the scene, and are on the lookout for a late-model silver Jaguar sedan- to say the least, not a typical vehicle for a methed-out stick-up artist.

The victim is expected to recover from his injuries.

And for god's sake folks, if you get mugged: do not try to run away. Stay as calm as possible, avoid confrontation, and do what the thief says, especially if they're armed. Even the iPhone 4S is not worth getting shot or stabbed over. Above all: stay alert and conscious of your surroundings.
