WILDWOOD: Colin Meloy, who is in a little band you may have heard of called The Decemberists, and his wife, Carson Ellis, will be discussing their new book Wildwood at the Central Library tonight. Wildwood is the first book in an epic middle-grade fantasy series full of magic, wonder, and danger set in an alternate version of modern-day Portland, Oregon.

CIRCUS KID: Humor Abuse is the new production running at the Seattle Repertory Theater this month. This one-man, autobiographical show is the story of Lorenzo Pisoni - a young man who had to run away from the circus to join the real world. Pisoni spent his early years learning pratfalls, popping out of a trunk, and mastering juggling with his father's Pickle Family Circus in San Francisco. Pisoni has since gone on to be an acclaimed actor, but with this delightful and acrobatic new show, Pisoni revisits his eccentric childhood, particularly his relationship with his dad. Tonight's show is a special pay-what-you-can preview performance.

CRUSHIN': Arts Crush is a month-long arts festival that aims to "connect artists and audiences with invigorating new experiences at hundreds of events across the region." No, seriously, there are literally hundreds of events happening this month as part of this festival. Today alone there are four different events happening. Today you can check out "Inside the Music, in a Box With a Flashlight" - an interactive installation of images and music within an 8' X 8' X 8" room; or music from a range of centuries on the recorder; or a musical based on the real life story of Aimee Semple McPherson - the charismatic leader of a theatrical super church in 1920s L.A.; or a string quartet. Check out the calendar for more events happening this month.
