Can't Miss It: Thursday

amontobin.jpg HEAR HEAR: The Decibel Festival is up and running, and its second day promises an even bigger bang than its first. The Crocodile’s got Holy Fuck (these guys definitely deliver the danceable goods) and Truckasauraus. Bok Bok headlines the Baltic Room with three more DJs. Neumos sees Britain’s awe-inspiring Bonobo as well as Opiuo and others. Showbox at the Market has got Ladytron, Depressed Buttons, Geographer, and Sonoio lined up. But our money’s on the biggest show of the night taking place at Paramount, featuring musician and electronic sound designer Amon Tobin. Tobin’s got talent for blowing minds with an eclectic sound and gigantic live show. Expect huge things from Tobin, literally. With Baths and Tokimonsta.

8:00 p.m. // The Paramount // $28

DON’T DO IT!: Gas station cashier Doug Samples plans to do himself in at the end of his shift, but before time runs out, he’s ready to entertain. In Live! From the Last Night of My Life, Doug looks back on his life and waxes like Hamlet into the store security cameras. He might be despondent, but he’s still got his sense of humor, playing with the people he encounters and even dancing through the store. Written and directed by Wayne Rawley.

8:00 p.m. // Theater Schmeater 1500 Summit Ave. // $15 - $18

BOOM BOOM: The last Thursday of every month is burlesque night at West Seattle’s Skylark CafĂ©. This month’s Westside Burlesque Revue features the brand new troupe Bellyesque, along with Persephony Illri, Boom Boom L’roux, Scandal from Bohemia and others. The Revue often includes cabaret and variety performers, as well as games and raffle prizes.

9:00 p.m. // Skylark 3803 Delridge Way SW // $7
