Extra, Extra: Gregoire is OK Following Traffic Accident
- Earlier today, Governorn Chris Gregoire's vehicle was sideswiped in traffic. Gregoire and her security detail were on I-5 en route to Olympia, after having visited Boeing to celebrate the delivery of the Boeing 787. She, and everyone else in the vehicle, are OK.
- Following the discovery of some "suspicious literature" in a foreclosed Rainier Beach home today, the bomb squad was called in, which lead to blocked streets and some traffic back-ups. Haz-mat teams were also called in, but no bomb was recovered.
- Neighbors are confirming that they'd smelled gas last night, prior to the explosion of a North Seattle home. Residents were evacuated following the explosion, and the house's two residents were moved to Harborview. The wife was reported to be in critical condition.
- The man who attacked his family members in Puerto Rico with gasoline and flames last year on New Year's day has received a sentence of 198 years in prison. Among the six who were killed in the attack were a couple from Seattle, Jesus Sanchez and Kate Donahue, who were engaged to be married.
