W00tstock: A Nerdy Version of Woodstock Minus the Mud, Nudity & Hippies

Have you ever wanted to get dressed in your finest geek-attire, drink martinis and watch your favorite modern-day nerd icons at one of Seattle's finest venues? Of course you have. And now, you'll have your chance--W00tstock Presents Wil Wheaton vs. Paul and Storm will be coming to the Triple Door Thursday, November 17.

Tickets for this absurdly geeky event are already half sold out (because we love to plan), so you'd best move fast if you want to take part in this evening of Star Trekkiness and melodic nerdy tunes. Think of it as much-needed stopover in the depressing stretch of winter between PAX and Comicon.

According to the website, this is not going to be a "full W00tstock" (sorry, Seattle), but there is a promise of "special surprise guests"--though the identities of these mysterious individuals has not yet been revealed. I'm going to venture a guess that whomever these guests end up being, the event will continue to evolve into a must-see adventure.

Last year I was tentative about going--I definitely thought I would be the odd-woman-out-- but I'd say it was just the right level of nerdy with tons of content to please everyone of the nerd persuasion.
