Red Hooked: One of Seattle's Oldest and Largest Breweries Turns 30
For those of you in Seattle who are unfamiliar with Red Hook Brewery: GET OUT.
Now that we've got that out of the way, on September 17th Redhook and a couple thousand of his friends will be partying like it's 1981, in celebration of his 30th Birthday! Rocking out throwback style, the headliner for this event will be Devo and opening acts The Psychedelic Furs and Tom Tom Club, with special guest Mitten.
In addition to a sweet band line-up the party will have food from the Forecasters Public House, beer... and did we mention beer? Brewed special for this party, Redhook will be serving up cold pints of Extra Special Birthday Beer along with some other tasty favorites.
Still sad that I can't get the Double Black Stout (if you remember this beer and bought hordes of it at Trader Joe's a few years back for just $3 a bottle, then we can talk later), but Red Hook is still going strong, making tasty brews and can always count on me to show up to their killer shin-digs.
Redhook Brewery in Woodinville // 3 p.m. // $30+ // Tickets available at TicketyFly.com and at the Forecasters Public House // 21+ only // No re-entry, no blankets, chairs, or outside food/beverage
