GRIND ONE OUT: Just after the Great Depression (the first one, not the one we're in now), folks facing hard times, war, and uncertainty drowned their sorrows at the grindhouse, where they could see exploitation films that were gory, fleshy, and generally comforting...if you were into that kind of comfort. Now, the grindhouse is more than just a memory--it's a dark genre of film that begs for exploration. Using over 200 clips from various nudie films, horror flicks, and other grindhouse staples, American Grindhouse is an examination of this questionably iconic era in film.

COPY THAT: Vermillion has been pretty consistently blowing our minds with their selection of rotating art exhibits. Now, the gallery/wine bar is getting small with "Over and Out", a petite collection of minute, ultra-intricate drawings by artists from the Pacific Northwest, London and Los Angeles. Each sketch illustrates a compulsive need to draw with intricacy, making for a very private, intimate look at the mind of an obsessed artist.

"Over and Over: A Small Survey of Obsessive Drawing." // 4 p.m. until Midnight // Vermillion // Free (but you should have some wine)
