Pike Place Market Buskers Festival celebrates a decade September 18th

Got a song in your heart? It might be too late to register as a busker yourself, but why not plan a trip to Pike Place Market just to sing along?

This year, the Pike Place Market Busker Festival, a one-day celebration of the legion of street performers in the region, is turning 10. To commemorate this milestone year, the Market will host nearly 3 dozen street performers doing the thing they do in every nook and cranny of iconic Seattle landmark. From overly-adorable kids to goggle-boasting steampunks, buskers of all walks will be out in full for your entertainment.

Yes, we know that, much to some locals' chagrin, the market is always loaded with buskers--but this is different. From 11:00 a.m, until 5:00 p.m. on the 18th, they'll be more than just a noisy fixture--they'll be the focal point, with even more music wafting from between the market stalls.

You're sure to happen upon all types of acts, from the longtime market favorite, the Balloon Man, to the student from Bellingham that just fell in love with the didgeridoo and has to share it with everyone.

Besides, the festival, founded by Seattle semi-celebrity Artis the Spoonman, is free to all comers...so really, it's a win-win situation.
