Oh, Everett: FAA Blames Local Company for Improper Airplane Repairs

Poor Everett just can't catch a break. Their school board members can't play nice, their baristas are on the naughty list for their use of stripper poles, and they recently experienced an arson...of a day care.

And today, the AP is reporting that the Federal Aviation Administration has found that Aviation Technical Services Inc., a company housed in our neighbor to the North, is responsible for the improper inspections and repairs of 44 Southwest Airlines planes. According to the AP, the company "allegedly failed to perform work aimed at preventing metal fatigue in the fuselage of planes."

Yikes.

The negligence could, according to the FAA report, result in a fine of over $1 million for the repair station.

Everett: bikini baristas, brawly board members, and unsafe airplanes.
