Minus the Bear on Location

This weekend was filled with music of all sorts by musicians from far away and close to home; one act glad to be back on their own turf was Minus the Bear. We were lucky enough to catch up with Alex Rose and Cory Murchy to snap a few shots and chit chat about what it's like to them.

When asked whether they're happy to be home Cory was most definitely happy.

"It's good to be in your own bed." he told us.

Their upcoming tour will just be in the states and they're looking forward to it. The road has its pluses and minuses (get it? Minuses!). Anyway, These guys were nothing but fun for the short time we had with them and goofed around with the best of 'em. They seemed really happy to be on their home turf and playing at Bumbershoot. It's obvious that the festival circuit is old hat to them at this point and they're just trying to have fun along the way.

In case you're wondering, Minus the Bear is an inside the joke amongst the members. Apparently one of them went on a date back in the day and the next morning was asked how it went. In response he said "Remember that show B.J. and the Bear? It was like that minus the bear." P.S. They killed on stage Saturday.
