Can't Miss It: Monday

We suppose the biggest can't miss event happening in Seattle today would be Day Three of Bumbershoot, featuring, as it does, the likes of Eugene Mirman, Fitz and the Tantrums, and the headliner's everyone been waiting for: Hall and Oates. However, we're going to tell you three real alternatives to the cultural extravaganza in differing degrees of intensity -- from "kind of different than Bumbershoot" to "Mommy, where did Bumbershoot go?"

Oswalt @ The Moore: Sure, Showtime will be broadcasting Patton Oswalt's Finest Hour several times in the month ahead, but you'll still want to catch it because 1) you were already planning on staying home tonight anyway; 2) people are still talking about the sheer amount of awesome Oswalt brought to The Moore's stage in May (which is what this special consists of); and 3) these are the performances that prompted Oswalt to say this about Seattle.

Tonight at 10:00p.m. // Showtime // The cost of a premium cable channel

Disney Warped My Fragile Mind: What happens when you mix the inspired lunacy the folks at Collide-O-Scope are known for and present it at our favorite independent cinema in the Central District? Find out tonight as Collide-O-Scope invades the Central Cinema with From Uncle Walt's Vault, a compendium of irregular and refreshingly twisted cultural artifacts from the entertainment company with a huge family brand. Considering how regressive some Disney material can be, this ought to be bracing.

Tonight at 7:00p.m. // Central Cinema, 1411 21st Avenue // $6

If you're looking for the opposite end of the Wholesome spectrum from Bumbershoot, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything more unsavory than the psycho-billy musical act Nashville Pussy, playing tonight at El Corazon. In its heyday, the band was known for bringing a healthy dose of raunch to their stage show to go along with the perverse tongue in cheek humor in their music. This may have been toned down due to the ravages of time, but then again, probably not if the lineup's any indication.

Tonight, doors open at 8:00p.m., show begins at 8:30p.m. // El Corazon, 109 Eastlake Avenue East // $12
