Newest Nerd-Prov from Wing It Productions hits the U-District

If you are either familiar with the "choose your own adventure" style of improv theater, or you're a Star-Trek nerd, and have nothing to do tonight: This showing is for you!

Wing-It Productions‘ new dark, frightening, and (as always) unscripted show, Final Transmission, is a sci-fi/horror play set in outer space. Basically, the crew is stranded in the great beyond and is faced with challenges and tough decision as they present themselves (cue omnipresent Futurama voice-over announcer:) IN SPACE!

Prepare yourself for tons of clever suggestions and witty remarks as audience participation interspersed throughout the play will determine where the scenes on stage go. There's no telling if things will go the way you expect them to -- every show will be slightly different and exciting in its own right. Gives new meaning to, "Where no man has ever gone before."

Final Transmission is created and directed by Jon Axell, director of 2009′s Objection!. The cast includes: Chris Allen (Quiz Show), Graham Downing (Men of Action), Nick Edwards (Lovetanic), Brandon Felker (Bloodsquad), Adina Gillett (Shades of Grey), Jana Hutchison (Lovetanic), Mandy Price (Goin’ Steady: The Musical), and Elicia Wickstead (The Lost Folio).

Last night's Opening Night Show and Gala was hosted by Wing-It and included champagne and cake after the show and the audience was given the opportunity to speak with the cast and crew, as well as members of Wing-It Productions. One final note: If you're thinking about bringing your mini-Trekkers, don't. This show will feature real scares and thrills, as well as adult language. Parental discretion is advised.

When: Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm (September 1-23, October 6-21, and November 3-11)
Where: Wing-It Productions - in the Historic University Theater at 5510 University Way NE.
Cost: Tickets are $14 and $10 for students, seniors and military
