We Are A Part Of The Rhythm Nation: With the untimely, if expected, passing of the most (in)famous member of the Jackson family; his sister Janet is the last one living reminder of what the Jacksons used to be. Boasting nearly as many #1 hits in her repertoire as her brother Michael, nearly every single one of them shows up on the set lists from Ms. Jackson's current Up Close and Personal tour that could be found online. To top things off, Ms. Jackson will be presenting them in the intimate and acoustically perfect McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center.

Tonight at 8:00p.m. // McCaw Hall, 301 Mercer Street // $77.50 - $127.50

Z-Grade 80s SciFi: The old Mystery Science Theater crew deserve mass gratitude from the producers of some of the worst drek ever created in the name of cinema. Would we ever know the drudgery of Manos: The Hands of Fate or know who Bart Fargo is had it not been for the silhouetted human and robots from Gizmonic Institute? Tonight, Central Cinema's Bad Movie Art series bring us another horrible, terrible classic from the MST3K vaults, Space Mutiny (or Mutiny In Space, even their marketing team can't decide); truly, an inept film. Presented in its original format, without the weisenheimers from Minnesota, so that you could provide your own wisecracks.

Tonight at 7:00p.m. // Central Cinema, 1411 21st Avenue // $6

Le Funny Weird, Le Funny Haha: Le Frenchword, the self-described 'absurdist comedy troupe', have a new collection of weird, opaque comedy that promises to provide a "meaningful exploration of all things dumb," according to their press release. The evening, entitled Fancy Mud, opens in a couple of weeks, and Le Frenchword need a bit of help to bring the evening across; this explains why they're putting on Le Fundraiser this evening at Chop Suey. The night will feature the talents of Daemond Arrindell, Lüster and Stubble, Fictitious' Elegant Eccentric, the song stylings of Miss Mamie Lavona, the Exotic Mulatta, and her White Boy Band as well as a few sneak peeks at material from the coming show, perfect for those looking for a little diversity in their evening's entertainment.

Tonight at 7:00p.m. // Chop Suey, 1325 East Madison Street // $15
