WRITE HARD: Right in the midst of Queen Anne's Uptown Art-in-Action Stroll--where local artists will occupy the streets to paint, pot, and muse--Red Pen Poetry will shadowbox five local poets for your higher-minded sensual pleasure. Exercise your internal imagery with the guidance of Aaron Dietz, Caroline Albert, Priya Keefe, Larry Crist, and William James, delightful voices all. After a long week, allow Counterbalance Park to live up to its name.
Saturday 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. // Counterbalance Park // FREE

INTIMATELY CAPTURED: Hollow Earth Radio hosts an evening of sweetly broken, experimentally grooved dream folk when The Creakies, S, and Tiny Vipers overtakes the station's common area. For those who haven't stopped inside Hollow Earth before, the performance space is roughly 10' x 20' with low ceilings and a charming, low-key aesthetic. A friendly house show, basically. With S (Jenn Ghetto of Carissa's Wierd) and Subpop's Tiny Vipers, you could not ask for a better way to pass along your fiver.
Saturday 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. // Hollow Earth Radio $5 suggested donation (All Ages)

LOVE, EVERYONE: LoveFest returns to Fremont for what they call an "environmentally responsible celebration of creativity and social service." Which, woah. What that means is while programming two days with stellar acts like Project Lionheart, Elemental Zazen, The Reflectacles, Polyrythmics, Geoffrey Castle, and Thaddillac, organizers are also offsetting all carbon waste from the festival and its attendees, encouraging alternate travel methods, and offering a free bike valet on-site. Go feel the love, in a socially responsible manner.
Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. // Stone Way N and N 34th St. // $10 per day ($15 for both days)
