Can't Miss It: Wednesday

OUT-OF-OFFICE: The City of Seattle is really pretty bad-ass. Especially when they give you an excuse to leave your climate-controlled cubical to get into the sunshine and in the company of others. Their Out to Lunch Concert Series is still going strong, with a show today at Two Union Square at noon. Now's your chance to finally ask that cute co-worker to go grab a sandwich and sway in the sun. Come on, you know you deserve a break.

IF YOU BUILD IT: Can't get away for lunch, but still want to get in touch with your civic side? Head to the Seattle Municipal Tower Gallery after work for their ongoing art exhibition, The Built Environment. This engineer's dream is a free exhibit, going through September 30th. The gallery, which is tucked away on the 7th floor of the Municipal Tower, is open to the public, and offers a great chance to not only see a pretty awesome intersection between architecture and interpretive art, but also the opportunity to go play in a city building. Also, it's free.

PHONE HOME: When you were a kid, there wasn't much more awesome than the idea of a drive-in movie. Unfortunately, those aren't really a thing around here anymore. But we do have the outdoor series, Movies at Marymoor, brought to you by none other than the County itself. Tonight's film is particularly fitting for a relaxing evening under the stars--it's none other than E.T. Watch a young Drew Barrymore be a bad-ass child actor as you remember how truly touching this age-old classic really is. Ah, the good old days.
