Can't Miss It: Tuesday
Joseph Gordon-Levitt live tonight at the Neptune Theatre.
JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT: hitRECord.org is an open collaborative production company where members can contribute their work in various forms including music, videos, text, and drawings. Members are then encouraged to add, edit, remix and collaborate with each other. Also it is the brainchild of the oh-so-dreamy Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Recently JGL and crew have hit the road and are sharing an interactive blend of original short films, live performance, and collaborative RECording to sold-out audiences in London, LA, and NYC. Tonight the good people of Seattle are lucky enough to have the opportunity to see the hitRECord folks in action at the Neptune Theatre. At these live-events, JGL presents the collaborative works, while simultaneously using the live setting to interact, collaborate, and create new works with the audience. But mostly you want to go to this because Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a total babe.

WORST NIGHTMARE: In 1992 Climber Jim Davidson and his friend Mike Price had made it to the top of Mount Rainier safe and sound and elated. The climb up the mountain is the boring part, Davidson co-wrote The Ledge about his trip back down the mountain. On the hike down, tragedy struck: a cave-in plunged them into a glacial crevasse. Trapped, injured, and struggling in vain to save his fatally injured friend, Davidson eventually had to decide between waiting to die and making a seemingly impossible climb.

CATS + TRIVIA: If you have an iPhone or iPad you may already be familiar with MovieCat Trivia. However, if you are unfamiliar with this app then you should know that MovieCat is a film trivia game that combines questions with visual puzzles. Central Cinema brings this game to life on the fourth Tuesday of every month. And this ain't your average trivia night. First, the quizmasters are dressed up in cat costumes. Second, these quizmasters don't just read a list of questions. This game uses the full capability of the theater - pictures are displayed, audio clips are played, and video clips are shown. It's like being in a real game show.
