Extra, Extra: Hope Solo is in Seattle, and WSU Keeps it Classy

- The AP is reporting that WSU is being fined $82,500 for not complying with laws that mandate reporting of campus rapes and sexual assaults. Among the incidents which were not properly reported, a rape which was incorrectly labeled a "domestic violence" incident, and a sexual assault complaint deemed "unfounded." WSU officials stated that they intend to appeal the fine.
- In less rapey news, a motorist in Bellevue drove up a guy wire onto a phone pole.
- Hope Solo, the little goalkeeper who could, was apparently shopping in Downtown Seattle today.
- And finally, SR 2 is closed near Tumwater, due to a fire that has now reached over 200 acres.
