Doe Bay Diaries: Thursday Video Edition
Dear Diary,
It may be Tuesday, but it feels like just yesterday I jumped on the 4pm ferry up at Anacortes with a few friends, breathing a deep sigh of relief. We had made it!
It was a close call--only about 10 cars made it on after us. We were finally close to our highly-anticipated destination: Doe Bay Music Festival.
We landed, found our dome (pleasantly called the Gnome Dome), tossed our stuff on the floor and headed over to the open mic hosted by Tony Kevin Jr. and the beloved Conor Byrne. It was a little crowded, granted, but beautiful as the sun set and the moon rose into the sky full and bright. Soon it got a little too chilly to stay outside so they moved it into the cafe and that's where my video diary entry takes place. So many incredible performers played for a packed house until late into the night. I was fortunate enough to capture Pickwick doing another fantastic a cappella rendition. So if you were unlucky enough not to be there, you can at least feel like you were.
