Tweeter of the Week: @EdibleSeattle
From now until I forget to do it, I'm going to highlight my favorite Seattle Tweeter. Think of it like #FollowFriday, but less about getting followers for myself, and more about exposing Twitter accounts that are notable, humorous or informative--and always under 140 characters.
EdibleSeattle has served as an authority on fresh products, methods, and makers for years. And while their parent company, EdibleCommunities, isn't itself local, both the ES blog and magazine do an awesome job of keeping it centered squarely on the Pacific Northwest. And their Twitter account? That's even more Seattle-specific.
Frequently Tweeting about what the staffers are eating, attending, or interested in, @EdibleSeattle is a great resource for those who want to stay in-the-know about what's in season and who's making it, and how you can, too. They Tweet recipes, events, biographies of growers, fishers, bakers, and just about everyone of interest who's got their hands in the scene. They're also great about re-Tweeting other local leaders, creating a useful, informative stream of food-centric information.
Follow @EdibleSeattle if you want to-the-minute information about what (or who) might be at your farmer's market this week, what to put on the calendar for next week, and what to put on your shelves right this minute. Congrats, @EdibleSeattle. You're our Tweeter of the Week.
