Can't Miss It: Wednesday

You could stare deeply into these eyes tonight, if you so choose. And hey look! Tiny Jodi Foster!
THE BUTLER DIDN'T DO IT: Do you love a good, old-fashioned musical parody? Of course you do. Have a witty, predictable, cockney-maid inspired evening at the theatre with Something's Afoot, part of the Taproot's 35th anniversary celebration. Due to its popularity, this mildly absurd, not-at-all-serious toe-tapper has been extended until the end of the month. But don't wait! Read our review, then go see the show that have you and your most dapper friends holding your sides punching each other in the arm. Lace gloves and your classiest hats are recommended.

Something's Afoot // The Taproot Theatre // 7:30 p.m. // $27-$29

BRING A TISSUE:: For those of us who grew up on Toy Story, the final piece of this iconic trilogy is incredibly emotional--and perfect for watching while sipping wine from a plastic cup in the park. But you don't have to be a millennial to get all choked up as you say goodbye to Buzz, Woody and the gang for the last time. Truck it over to the East Side for Movies at Marymoor, and indulge in one of summer's most amazing past-times: crying at the outdoor theater. Don't worry--you won't be the only one getting misty.

Toy Story 3 // Marymoor Park // 7:00 p.m. // $5

YOU MAKE THE MOVE: If you're not in the mood to let all your friends see how emotional you get over computer animated toys, put of your toughest mug and skip to the Hill for Northwest Film Forum's limited showing of Taxi Driver. This 1976 Scorsese classic, which features an incredible (and incredibly young) Robert Di Niro, is also celebrating it's 35th anniversary (what are the odds, right?), and is full of memorable lines and beautiful/hideous imagery. Say it with us: "Are you talkin' to me?"

Taxi Driver // Northwest Film Forum // 9:15 // $6-$9
