This is the Sheriff's Office's current user photo.
We'd start with a clever lede, but we'll let KCSO speak for themselves. From what is quite possibly the most amazing press release this week:

After much thought, the Sheriff's Office has come to the conclusion that Facebook might not be just a passing fad after all.....and has jumped into the digital age with both feet!

Yes, like a proud step-mother who's just purchased her first pair of skinny jeans because that's what the kids are wearing, right?, the King County Sheriff's Office has entered the realm of social media. With a Facebook page.

Their page, which already has 274 "likes", boasts photos of cars, officers, K9 units**, and plenty of updates as to what events the department will be frequenting. It's a well-populated account for being so fresh, which leads us to believe that a.) they've finally hired a social media intern, or b.) one of the officer's teenager offspring set it up for them.

What's next for this unstoppably future-minded agency?

Today we are on Facebook! Can Twitter be far behind? Stay tuned!

Yes. Stay tuned indeed.

**It's worth checking out the page if only for the adorbs pictures of police dogs.
