This week, we're feeling a little sweet-centric. With National S'more Day on August 10 and a pie-pop up at Cakespy, it's tough not to have desserts on the brain. Plus, we are cider fanatics and super excited about the fete at Bottlehouse Saturday. BOKA joins pretzel mania with their balls and want you to try them this Friday. What a delicious week!

All in all, we declare this to be a fine time to find yourself something delicious to bite into and cheers to.

Celebrate National IPA Day and S'Mores Day!

Today (!!!) is National IPA Day. Pay homage to your favorite hoppy beer at one of the many fine taps around town. Perhaps you should belly up to the bar at The Yard (a Seattlest favorite! Rumor has it the quesadilla is quite good too) or a local brewery such as the little conglomeration forming in SoDo/Georgetown.

Or perhaps you have a sweet tooth? Next week the good folks at Tom Douglas will be selling some specialty s'mores at the Dahlia Bakery, Dahlia Workshop & Rub With Love Shack. Head there on August 10th from 11am-4pm a $3 bite of heaven. Homemade graham cracker, marshmallow and either milk or dark chocolate. Oh yeah.

Free Mini-Pretzel Balls at BOKA:

BOKA will be giving away their delicious and Seattlest tested & approved pretzal balls. Essentially a fancy version of a pig in a blanket, the Wagu beef dog is encased in a hosuemade pretzel. Oh & you don't even need to venture inside to get your free food- they'll be handing them out curbside. Like them? Fear not, you'll find them on their happy hour menu.

August 5, 11:30am-1:30pm//BOKA (1010 1st Ave) //Free!!

Cider Fete at Bottlehouse:

Bottlehouse in Madrona is hosting Cider Fete featuring four cider makers, live music and sunshine (we love that they included that since well, who the hell knows this year). The cider tasting is a steal at only $6 so bus yourself over to Bottlehouse. We are huge fans of the charming wine bar/shop especially their large secluded deck.

August 6, 2-6pm // Bottlehouse (1416 34th Avenue) // $6 per person

Pie Stand at Cakespy:

2011 just might be the year of the pop-up and pie. Double win for a pie-pop in conjunction with the ultra-adorable Cakespy. Pie Stand hosted by Kate Lebo (trust us, she knows her pie) will be selling slices of pie and hand pies. We're drooling over the peach bourbon hand pies and the fresh fruit & mascarpone pie.

August 6, 12pm-4pm (or 'til they sell out) // Cakespy Shop (415 E Pine Street) // $3-$5 per slice, whole pies $35 // Facebook Invite
