Hot Bodies, in Motion Pictures
Tim, Ben, Scott and Zach of Hot Bodies in Motion
One such bit of evidence has come in the form of movie production company. Local soul/blues rock group Hot Bodies in Motion, whom we featured about a month ago to hype up their first big show at the Showbox Market, has been keeping a little secret over the last month or two. We started becoming suspicious that there was exciting news around the bend when whispers of contracts and recording were slipping through the grapevine around town. Then the lead singer, Ben Carson, posted a photo of a large stack of papers to his facebook page with the caption "Contract? Singed, sealed, delivered." If we squinted in at the Fed Ex folder that would eventually contain those papers, you could just make out "Lionsgate".
Lionsgate Entertainment has commissioned them to create and record an original song for their upcoming film Abduction. They were given three days in a recording studio to pull it together from beginning to end with a movie-quality song ready to score. It looks like they did just that. They had a friend along with them to video tape bits and pieces, then put it together into a little diary of sorts so we can be a part of the experience with them. Below is that diary entry as well as the official trailer to the film. We're looking forward to seeing it (even if just to hear the song) and cheering as loudly as possible when Hot Bodies comes on over the speakers.
