Can't Miss It: Monday

DON'T FEED THEM: You hate them on the Internet, you hate them when they eat up all your patents--it's time the trolls got hunted. Called "pretty god-damned spectacular" by Ain't it Cool News, the Norwegian comedy/horror Trollhunter was a screaming hit at SIFF. Now, you can catch the beastly, sneaky, hairy, ugly film at Central Cinema, for less than the price of an expensive 22 of craft beer. Giant trolls. Beer and pizza. This sounds like a great night.

OLD IS NEW: Have you gone to see Derek Edrman's exhibition, Old Food, at Vermillion yet? Because this is the last week, and you simply can't miss it. The Americana-rich collection includes paintings of, well, classic food items, including Wendy (of Wendy's fame), RC Cola, and Sunny Jim peanut butter. Erdman, who's also know as Rap Master Maurice when he's leaving epic voicemails, is also know as a frequent illustrator for the Stranger, and has more hipster cred than Betty White, your mom and Pabst put together. You must see this show.

FIGHT THE D DEFICIENCY: The sun is out. Go walk around the lake, pack your cooler and head to Golden Gardens, or just sit on your porch and read a book. Today marks the first day this year where every day in the 5-day forecast involves a sun, and none include a cloud. Let's get this summer started right--merely 2 months later.
