Don't Give Up Yet: The Weather Will (Probably) Get Better-ish

This weekend, we were treated to a rare and spectacular occurrence: two consecutive days of warmth and sun. It was wonderful, and it happened over the weekend, no less. The lakes were brimming with boats and people, the parks were packed. Kids at the Capitol Hill Block Party were able to achieve not only painful hangovers, but also awkward sunburns.

And then this morning--thunder?

Of course, the rest of the country is suffocating under stifling heat, which Cliff Mass says is directly related to our extremely cool and wet summer, so in theory we should be thankful. Still, when it's nearly August and we've had fewer than six hours of temperatures over 80 degrees, it's hard to thank your lucky stars. Particularly when you wake up to cloud-bursts, thunder and lukewarm air.

But don't give up, Seattle. We've seen the 10-day forecast, and it is...well, it's not great. But it is decent:
