Field Notes from CH Block Party, Day One

- The SAT word of the day is Cultural Appropriation. Not sure when headresses became a must-have music festival fashion accessory, or why anyone might think it's ok, but it's not so STOP IT.
- Literally every thirty minutes we thought we were experiencing a Best Coast sighting, but evidently it's just that every other girl is now wearing those weird (cool?) round Beatles sunglasses and a tote bag with a cat face on it.
- We missed Thurston Moore's post-set poetry reading Eliott Bay Book Company, and we regret it.
- As far as we can tell, the nearest place to pee that's not a Honey Bucket is at the QFC on Broadway.
- Kurt Vile's hair looks more luscious every time we see him.
- We can't begin to imagine how much the Caffe Vita baristas are going to make in tips this weekend, but we're hoping that it's a lot.
- One can purchase a tall can of PBR and a hot dog for a mere eight bones. Not bad!
