Extra, Extra: Dispensaries, Ducks and Do-Overs for Cyber-Bullies
- Southbound traffic on I-5 was backed up for almost three hours last night, after a driver stopped her car to help a family of ducks get safely across the street. Note: cute when troopers do it, not cute when you do it.
- Medical marijuana dispensaries are that much closer to having cohesive legislation, at least within the city limits, thanks to a City Council panel's unanimous vote in favor of a measure to regulate them.
- Speaking of the City, they've recently added some electric cars to their fleet. Hooray for green things!
- In less hooray-worthy news, a 12-year-old girl experienced her first encounter with getting away with things when she was handed a six-month suspended sentence for the very-serious-we-mean-it crime of cyber-bullying today. If she stays away from alcohol and drugs, as well as from being catty on the Internet, for six months, the charge will be dismissed. Way to send a message to teenagers everywhere.
