Seattle Weekly's Artopia, the annual celebration of visual art, music and food is happening this Thursday, July 14. You may have been noticing their artfully redesigned paper boxes all over the city.

It is a benefit event, with the proceeds going to COYOTE Central, a non-profit serving thousands Seattle students by providing after-school arts education and pairing them with artist mentors. They rule.

Featuring the work of over 15 multi-discipline visual artists from around the Puget Sound, it's meant to take the art experience out of the white-box boredom of the gallery and into everyone's favorite arena, the party.

For more details you can check out their Facebook page, but frankly, there aren't many more details. We think perhaps Seattle Weekly might have other things on their minds.

Thursday July 14 // 7pm - 11pm // 332 5th Ave North // Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 and include food and drink
