FOLK YOU: Sometimes, we all get a little nostaglic for fine folk music. And after being subjected to so many crappy Americana songs on repeat over the weekend (yay, USA), we're in need of some old-fashioned new folk. The lineup at the Tractor tonight includes Seattlest favorite The Elderly, whom you may remember from the show we put on last month, as well blues crooner Rory James and four-piece folk revivalists Plant Party--so you know it'll be a great night of fiddles, friendly folks and fine music. How refreshing!

The Elderly, with Rory James and Plant Party // The Tractor Tavern // $6 // 9 p.m.

MAYBE NOT TODAY: Or, if you're feeling really old-school, immerse yourself in the ornate, opulent delights of classical music--blended with the best of black-and-white film. Tonight, the Seattle Symphony performs the soundtrack of Casablanca, while the movie plays behind them on the giant screen. Just try to keep your Nana from saying her favorite lines aloud, ok?

The Seattle Symphony performs Casablanca // Benaroya Hall // $17+ // 7:30 p.m.

KINDLER DOES KOMEDY: If you're looking for a quality comedy that isn't awkward (tall order, we know), there's no better option than the Laff Hole, Chop Suey's bi-monthly comedy billing. Tonight, they've got Daily Show contributor and Home Movies and Bob's Burgers voice actor Andy Kindler to tear it up. Kindler, whose work often includes criticisms of other comedians, is sure to get you going--and not in the nervous way you do when the guy on stage can't land a joke.

The People's Republic of Komedy with Andy Kindler // Chop Suey // $15 // 8:30 p.m.
